Vegan Biscuits and Sausage gravy: Episode 99

Vegan Sausage and gravy biscuits for the win! although I’m going to give you guys the base recipe below as you see from the video you must judge yourself from texture of both the gravy and biscuits. oh and after we cut the camera we discovered hot sauce was a game changer!

Biscuits:
2 and 1/2 cups of flour
1/4 cup sugar
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/2 cup butter
1 cup milk mixed with 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar( vegan buttermilk)

mix dry ingredients the add wet, knead until becomes dough but it should not be sticky so add flour if needed.

Sausage Gravy:
I package vegan sausage
2 tbsp flour
1 cup milk
1 tsp garlic powder
1tsp onion powder
1 tsp sage
1 tsp salt ( if using gimme lean I would leave this out)
1 tsp pepper

Again you must watch this and add milk and flour in order to make it thinner or thicker.

  1. Looks yummy! Personally, I like the clumps of sausage in my gravy rather than the crumbles so this would have been perfect for me. Here’s a lil trick I picked up: For fluffier biscuits don’t twist that biscuit cutter into the dough. When you do that it seals the dough too firmly so it won’t rise as much.

    I’ma be real, after a handful of recipes I just yelled that I’m finding a black vegan content creator. So yes, THANK YOU, I just want flavor. These guys gonna give SOUTHERN recipes with no seasoning. 😭 Absolutely not.
